So here's a fun new section at www.tvadviceguy.com. It's the TAG Pulls Tape page!
Basically that means I scour YouTube for fun TV clips and post them here. Someone else does all the work of posting the clips, I put them here, and you get to watch them without the hard work of looking for them! Everybody wins!
Let's start!
One of the great debacles in late night television was the horrendous Fox entry of 1993 called "The Chevy Chase Show." I guess with a title like that Fox sadly had no choice but to have Chevy Chase be the host. I remember being a young teenager when this show premiered and just watched dumbfounded at how craptacular it was. Watch this clip and enjoy the misery!
"The Chevy Chase Show" - DOA!
There are so many court shows on during the afternoon these days that I don’t know what to do. And by that I mean I don’t know which technical college I should apply to. In any event, my favorite has to be “The People’s Court.” Here is a clip of Harvey Levin on the streets of New York getting people’s reactions to the cases they just watched. Check out the guy in the beard at about 25 seconds into the clip. He’s hilarious!

Here's a fun clip. It's from that God-awful CBS primetime game show, "Winning Lines." This was during the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" era of television. When every network had to have a knock-off game show. Well CBS rolled out "Winning Lines" hosted by Dick Clark. This had to be the most complicated game show ever created, and it's absurdity is, to me, hilarious! It's possibly the most difficult game show to play along with as a viewer, which could explain why it lasted only a few episodes. Enjoy!

You don't see these kinds of commercials anymore, but back in the day the networks used to piece together these silly promo pieces with the "faces" of their hit shows to pump up the upcoming fall season. Here's a classic example from NBC 1989!

It seems like every show ever produced has made it's way to DVD. But inexplicably, one of the best sitcoms in the history of mankind, "Get a Life," only has like six episodes available. Here's a clip I found for your enjoyment.
"Get a Life," Best Show Ever!
Richard Dawson has got to be one of the best game show hosts of all time, and no one has been able to properly fill his shoes on "Family Feud" after all these years. Here's a funny clip from the popular game show.
