So I am sitting alone at home with a bottle of rot gut vodka on a Saturday night. So far, it’s a typical Saturday night for TAG, but then everything changed. I accidentally tuned into the new FOX Saturday late night talk show called "Talkshow With Spike Feresten." I had no idea there was show called "Talkshow With Spike Feresten," but soon I was chuckling out loud. Maybe it was the hang over inducing charcoal filtered vodka, or maybe it was the hilarious bits that included "Idiot Paparazzi" and "Electric Lincoln." Either way this was a fun, new, fresh take on the late night talk show.
Spike Feresten is known mostly for his writing on such TV shows as "Late Night with David Letterman" and "Seinfeld," but suddenly he’s hosting his own talk show and clearly his time spent with such greats as Letterman & Seinfeld have paid off. He seems very natural behind the desk, he’s charming, and the comedy bits were very funny.
There's Spike. But more importantly, there's a woman eating a popsicle while wearing a fanny-pack in the upper right.
"Talkshow with Spike Feresten" officially gets the TVadviceguy seal of approval. The show airs on FOX, Saturday nights at midnight. It’s definitely a nice alternative to the terrible sketches that "Saturday Night Live" usually produces during that time of the show.
So do yourself a favor and check out some of the video clips from the show at the FOX website. If you think it’s funny, just remember that I told you so. If you think it’s terrible, just remember I am drinking cheap vodka right now.
